Receive Graduate Credit for HeinemannU Online Courses

HeinemannU and Plymouth State University are pleased to offer a professional development graduate credit option for HeinemannU participants. After satisfactory completion of selected HeinemannU online courses, you can earn 2 graduate level credits.

A separate report IS REQUIRED in addition to course completion.

Graduate Credit from Plymouth State University
If you are considering enrolling for graduate credit, please review the following information:

  1. Course Work:
    This graduate credit option requires additional work, and is assigned a letter grade. In brief, you are required to submit a 3-5 page reflection paper for 2.0 graduate level credits.

  2. Registration Deadline:
    You may enroll for the Plymouth State University graduate credit option as soon as you have received your HeinemannU course completion certificate. Your registration form and coursework must be submitted together. The deadline for submitting coursework is 90 days from the date of HeinemannU course completion.
  3. Number/Type of Credits:
    2.0 graduate level credits; these credits receive a letter grade.
  4. Fees:
    There is a fee of $145 for the 2.0 credits, in addition to the standard HeinemannU Student registration fee. (HeinemannU Auditors are not eligible for graduate credits.) This fee includes all applicable registration fees.
  5. Payment Method:
    Credit fees are payable in full at registration by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or check. Plymouth State University DOES NOT accept purchase orders. You MAY NOT combine the fees for HeinemannU and Plymouth State University on the same check.
How to Enroll for the Plymouth State University Graduate Credit Option
  1. First, you must register for the course through HeinemannU. You will receive an email confirmation of this process within 24 to 72 hours. Save this message.

  2. Second, submit your registration form 90 days after completing the online course. With your registration please include the following:

    1. A copy of your course materials you completed online
    2. A 3-5 page reflection paper outlining your online learning experience and the impact it will have on your teaching;
    3. A copy of your HeinemannU course completion certificate.

PSU does not automatically mail grades. The University has implemented a new student information management system, called Banner. This system allows students to have access to real time grade information online. Students are able to access their unofficial transcripts and grades online. Due to FERPA regulations, PSU needs to have a written request, complete with student signature, in order to send grade or transcript information to a student. Requests may be faxed or mailed to PSU’s registrar. If you need an official copy of your transcript, you can request one at Office of the Registrar. You may fax or mail your request to the following address:
